Careful planning, a proper budget, the seeds and seedlings you need and the right tools — these are just some of the elements that underlie a pleasant garden. Read in this article some tips and recommendations designed to help you design a pleasant and easy to care for garden.

Like any project you start, landscaping involves some planning, a proper budget and a series of decisions that guarantee a result to your liking and that of your family. We suggest in this article some measures that it is good to take so that everything goes smoothly and you can enjoy a pleasant and relaxing decor all year round.

Depending on the surface you have at your disposal, you can opt for a practical garden, with vegetables, fruits, vegetables and herbs, one full of flowers and relaxation areas, or a combination of the two. Do not be discouraged if you have only a small piece of land behind or in front of the house, properly managed, you can use it to get everything you want.

For example, parsley, dill, celery leaf you can plant in pots or large planters, placed either on the terrace or on wooden supports, on one side of the layer where, at ground level, you planted something else (salad, onion, garlic, beets, carrots, etc.). A few bushes of thyme, lavender, oregano, coriander, basil, sage can be easily inserted among the flower seedlings. They will protect them from pests without damaging their appearance.

A few vine cuttings can be easily raised near the house, and one or two dwarf fruit trees can easily frame the very area where you want to place the relaxation space, with table and chairs, swing or seesaw.

It’s all about carefully planning the surface, correctly estimating the foods you want to get from your own culture and the areas you need so that the layers of flowers and ornamental objects fit comfortably.

You can give a certain style to the garden through even the smallest details, such as planters and pots, used for plants that you do not grow directly in the ground, the systems used for hanging plants, the materials used to define the paths at the edge of the layers, and of course, garden furniture.

You can create a rustic look — with mostly wooden and ceramic elements with traditional motifs, a classic, elegant image — defined by wrought iron and stone details, or a modern decor — with plastic or metal options, with a minimalist design.

We recommend you to use as a starting point the exterior aspect of the house, in order to obtain a more harmonious and balanced environment.

Many people approach the arrangement of the garden impulsively and at random, obtaining as a result a little chaotic space, without a unitary aspect, in which they feel the need to change all the time. This way of working prevents you from benefiting from the effect of time, which you cannot rush in the case of trees, which need a few years to be able to bear fruit, or roses and many plants that do not bloom in the first year.

So make an effort and draw a sketch of the garden, decide the path of the paths, and if you want a concrete or stone-covered surface for tables and chairs, determine how big it will be. Decide what you will plant on each layer, what areas you delimit using shrubs and what support systems for plants and tools you will need: planters, pots, garden hoses ( here is the list of compared products ) , sprinklers, fertilizer, disease treatment solutions, hoe, harlet, mower, etc.

If you have a chainsaw, you will end up digging and loosening the soil fairly quickly, even on a larger area of land. But for those who have a garden small enough to stick to the manual version, this stage will take a little longer. So set a special period for these works, which you can do both in autumn or in the first months of winter and spring.

You will have to remove weeds and, depending on the quality of the soil and the need for vegetation, you will usually need to spread fertilizer to ensure the best possible growth.

After you have set up everything you need for the planting and arranging stage, it is good to start a new sheet with the elements related to garden maintenance. Even before the seeds sprout, you will need an efficient irrigation system. You can opt for manual watering, using a hose suitable in length and diameter, with which you can easily provide the water needed to feed the plants.

If you do not want to spend too much time in the garden with watering, you can consider installing a sprinkler system or drip watering to do the job for you.

You will also need a sapaliga to remove weeds between seedlings and provide the latter with the light and freedom needed to get through the early stages and turn into strong, healthy plants.

Don’t forget the atomizer either, because you may need to supplement the soil’s nutrient capacity with fertilizers in the form of liquid or vaporized powder. Look for information on the most common pests and specific protection measures for each of the cultivated plants and note on the calendar the periods in which preventive spraying is recommended.

Later you will need scissors to mow the bushes and shrubs, and a saw to shape the trees. If you have opted for a larger area covered with grass, it is good to consider an efficient mower, which will help you keep a neat appearance.

Remember that when it comes to care, garden furniture also needs your attention. Look for a suitable storage place for the cold period and try to create a shaded area, with vines or a suitable umbrella, for chairs and table, especially if they include plastic or textile material, vulnerable to the action of the sun.
